Immerse yourself in the raw beauty, flavors, and geothermal heartbeat of Iceland. Each day brings a new way to connect with the land. You’ll soak in hot rivers, move through intentional thermal circuits, explore waterfalls and glaciers, savor intentionally prepared meals from our private chef, and gather for grounding practices.

You’ll engage all five senses as you bathe, explore, taste, listen, breathe, and slow down into place.

Who is this designed for?

Meet Your Hosts

ALISA CARDENAS

Host, Bathing Culture Enthusiast & Founder of Howl at the Moon Sauna Co.

Alisa is your bathing obsessed Sauna Host, and the founder of Howl at the Moon Sauna Co., a Michigan-born mobile sauna venture that began as a spark of personal healing and ignited into a mission to bring authentic sauna culture to West Michigan. After experiencing profound corporate burnout, she set out to redesign her life with more intention, choosing passion, family, and community. Sauna became the tool that helped her cross that threshold.

Following that shift, her vision expanded beyond her local sauna community. Today, she curates immersive bathing experiences, journeys to extraordinary places where thermic bathing is woven into the land, the people, and their rituals. These retreats are sensorial, place-rooted, and crafted to awaken connection: to oneself, to each other, and to the global bathing renaissance reshaping how we gather, rest, and rediscover what matters.

ANNA VANAGTMAEL

Retreat Host, Travel Designer & Founder of Wandering Roots

Anna VanAgtmael is a passionate retreat host and travel designer dedicated to helping women reclaim joy, clarity, and courage through unforgettable, stress-free adventures. After a life-altering car accident pushed her far outside her comfort zone, Anna rebuilt her world with intention, choosing a life that sparks the kind of delight she describes as being “attacked by a pile of puppies.”

That transformation became the foundation of Wandering Roots, where Anna curates effortless, soul-stirring getaways that make women feel alive again. When she’s not leading retreats, she mentors aspiring hosts in creating transformational, profitable experiences of their own, helping them avoid the painful (and expensive) lessons she learned firsthand. Her work centers around one truth: stepping beyond your comfort zone is where all the magic begins.
